      Often abbreviated by the Chinese to just 'Jin', Tianjin - along with Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing) - is one of China's four municipalities. 120 km from Beijing, (25 minutes by bullet train), Tianjin's reputation is dwarfed by its sister, the capital, and so is seen by few tourists as a worthwhile destination.
