To downgrade your iOS version, you'll need to know your iPhone Model so you can select the proper software to download. If you already know your iPhone Model (such as iPhone 14, or iPhone 13 Pro Max), you can skip this section and move to the next.
Doing so will erase your iPhone's content and you won't be able to restore using a backup from your current operating system; additionally, Apple only permits downgrading your iOS for around a week after a new iOS version is released. Navigate to the iPhone Software site and select your device and model.
Click your device model. For example, you would click the iPhone 7 (Global) for a Verizon iPhone 7. Review the green links at the top of the page. You'll typically see two links here: the current iOS (for example, iOS 10.3) and one iOS update back (e.g., iOS 10.2.1). You'll need to click the iOS version to which you wish to downgrade.
If it's not signed, you won't be able to install that version of the OS. The problem with downgrading is that Apple stops signing older iOS versions pretty soon after a new version is released. The only pre-iOS 13 version of the iOS you can downgrade to is iOS 12.4.1.
