Bishkek is by no means big or even that interesting. Outside of a few museums and parks, there are few sites in the city worth visiting. If you wanted action, you'd have to visit Bishkek's Kazakh neighbor, Almaty, which is much more energized. But Bishkek should not be judged solely as a tourist destination.
