[6/6 9PM] Gusty showers with embedded heavy downpours are now moving east of the Champlain Valley. These showers will reach the CT River Valley after midnight tonight and gradually wind down. Overnight temperatures fall into the 50s to low 60s with patchy fog possible #VTwx #NYwx

A special weather statement has been issued for Burlington VT, South Burlington VT and Essex Junction VT until 8:45 PM EDT

An approaching cold front will bring widespread showers to the region today, locally heavy rainfall possible. There will also be embedded thunderstorms, severe storms are not expected. Showers will track from west to east across northern New York and Vermont from 1-8 PM.
