    Industry came in 1918 when Princeton Hosiery Mills opened. With the building of interstate highways, and the Western Kentucky Parkway, the Princeton area remained an important transportation center for Western Kentucky. With this transportation network complete, the city was able to attract other industries.

    The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Princeton has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps. Rich in Southern culture much like the rest of Western Kentucky.
