Scattered showers are accompanying a cold front across the PA this evening. Cooler temps and lower humidity will usher into the area overnight. Friday will be cooler and less humid, although another round of showers (and afternoon thunder) could impact mainly N/W PA. #ctpwx

Along with the drier air and lower humidity (see previous post) will also come cooler temperatures.

The weekly national drought monitor product was updated this morning. Portions of the Mid-Atlantic are currently abnormally dry but no areas of moderate drought have been identified. Also shown is the precipitation departures for the last 90 days.

While storms won't be nearly as widespread as they were last night, we could see a few develop this afternoon along a passing cold front! There's a low end risk for a strong to severe storm east of Harrisburg with damaging wind gusts the biggest concern.
