A University of Alberta parchment is considered to be an official legal document and only the student’s official legal name will be printed on the parchment. The University does not print nicknames, initials or names in parentheses on the parchment. The final wording and format of the degree entry on the parchment rests with the Registrar.
You will only receive one official degree parchment; keep it safe as you would any legal document. If you plan on attending convocation, your parchment will be included in your convocation packet which must be picked up from the University Bookstore during the time assigned to your Faculty in the Pick-Up Dates and Times table.
Admission and Readmission Documents: All students must submit two complete and official transcripts of work they have completed at institutions other than the University of Alberta before a final decision is made on admissibility.
