Flash Flood Warning including Jackson TN, Henderson TN and Enville TN until 1:00 PM CDT

We have potential severe weather in the forecast for the next THREE days in a row. Now is a good time to go over your storm plans to make sure you're ready for a long-winded period of active weather through this weekend. 📝⛈️

8:30 AM: Showers and thunderstorms are pushing into the area this morning. Any one of these storms could pulse up to produce hail or gusty winds. There is also frequent lightning coming into eastern AR. ⚠️🌧️⛈️⚡️

Rain over the last several days has really set the stage for flooding this week/weekend. These upcoming storms over the next few days have the potential to produce tremendous amounts of rainfall in already saturated areas. Keep an eye out for QUICKLY changing flood conditions. 🌊

If you see water over the road, DO NOT RISK IT! You do not know how deep the water is. It only takes 6 inches of water to sweep a human off their feet, and only 12 inches of water to sweep a car off the road. Most flood fatalities occur in vehicles; don't become a statistic. ⚠️

More showers and thunderstorms as of 12:30 PM. Some of these storms in the heavier rain shield are producing rain rates around 1” per hour. This doesn’t sound like a lot but soils are already primed and it won’t take much to flood, especially if storms are moving slowly! ⚠️⚡️⛈️

An active weather pattern continues. Heavy rainfall on saturated soils may lead to localized flooding. For today: Storms are likely to arrive this morning (as early as 6 AM) and redevelopment is possible. Severity of later rounds may be effected by the morning round.
