    Puebla is a city located in the state of Puebla (yes, both the city and the state are called “Puebla”) in central Mexico. It is the capital and largest city in the state. In fact, with over 3 million people, Puebla is actually the fourth largest city in all of Mexico. Despite being a large city, there is still something quaint about Puebla.
    The state of Puebla is located on the east side of the volcanoes of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl, opposite of the Valley of Mexico and Mexico City. The two volcanoes have as much significance here as they do on the west side, with many communities nearby maintaining ritual specific to honoring the two.
