    This vibrant coastal city is well-known for its lively nightlife and rather adult-oriented attractions, especially the area surrounding Walking Street. However, Pattaya has been trying to promote a more family-friendly image by developing places like the wholesome Jomtien Beach. Sun, sand, and seaside massages are up for grabs in this particular section of the city's coastline. Perhaps another ironic contrast to Pattaya's seedy downtown is the Sanctuary of Truth. Though this wooden architectural marvel looks like a temple, it is more of a monument for appreciating religion, philosophy, and the arts.
