The area near the port has ruins of several Roman buildings, the town hall, and streets filled with shops and cafes. The archaeological museum in the city exhibits bronze objects, Roman ceramics, and artifacts. Other interesting attractions of the city include 13th-century Cagliari Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace, and the impressive Elephant and San Pancrazio Towers.
