One great way to spend a summer afternoon is to sit ‘on the hill' at The Adelaide Oval and have a picnic. The city features many parks and open spaces, as well as gorgeous wide boulevards, and is surrounded by beaches in the west and the east by hills. Adelaide is recognized as Australia's festival capital, with a wide range of sporting events and festivals ranging from major events such as the Fringe Festival, and Tasting Australia to smaller street parties, night markets, and family festivals. March is a fantastic time to visit Adelaide for festival-goers, but the country is alive with excitement throughout the year.
