One more day of relatively tranquil weather before an approaching upper-level system inflicts a new pattern across eastern New York and western New England. Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms will move in across the region beginning tonight.

Other than an isolated evening shower/T-storm for areas mainly east of the Hudson River, skies will be partly cloudy tonight along with mild temperatures.

Visible satellite imagery shows some clouds developing across the region. We can't rule out a pop-shower today, but most areas will stay dry. Otherwise, expect a partly sunny sky with warm temperatures through the afternoon hours.

Sun with a few high clouds today and Wednesday and an isolated shower or thunderstorm. Temperatures both days well into the 80s with around 80 in higher elevations. Unsettled and cooler Thursday through the weekend with periods of showers and scattered thunderstorms.
