OCS has been recognized as an AIG Promising District by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction! This award was given to just 13 districts across in NC, and it is a reflection of the great work our AIG staff do to identify and support students with academic talent.

We had the honor of recognizing WOHS's Kahmari Brown at this week's BOE meeting for his recent NCHSAA 3A State Championship in discus. Kahmari's throw measured an impressive 163 feet and 9 inches! Congratulations, Kahmari, and thank you for representing WOHS and OCS so well!

The JHS Girls' Soccer Team was recognized this week at the BOE meeting for their recent state championship win. The team brought a special gift for Superintendent Collins: a game ball signed by the team. Congratulations to you all on an amazing season!
