I always thought that it was funny Marx was all about historical materialism, ie “the way societies function is determined entirely by their mode of material production”, then proceeded to produce purely theoretical and non-material work that totally reshaped the next century.

You hear a lot about ppl failing to cut their losses, but the inability to take the W and move on is underrated as a common mistake.

If you consistently show up inconsistently or late to coaching/therapy/training, and your coach/therapist/trainer doesn’t set a clear boundary and then fire you if you keep doing it, they’re not a good coach/therapist/trainer.

If you can define the frame, the question, and a rubric for evaluating answers, you are studying canalized (née crystalized) intelligence. Fluid intelligence is about noticing you're using the wrong frame, you've asked the wrong question, need a new rubric. Going meta.
