Tacna is a city in southern Peru, near the Chilean border. The central Paseo Cívico de Tacna promenade is home to the neo-Renaissance Tacna Cathedral. Nearby is the Parabolic Arch monument, dedicated to soldiers of the War of the Pacific, and the Regional Historical Museum, with documents from that war. Just outside the city, the Campo de la Alianza complex has a war monument, a museum and a cemetery.
