Willimantic is home to the Windham Textile & History Museum, which highlights its rich 19th-century textile industry heritage. On Main Street, the Romanesque Revival town hall sits close to cafes, diners, and gift shops, while scenic parks and gardens overlook the Willimantic and Natchaug rivers. Victorian-era houses abound in the Prospect Hill Historic District, not far from Eastern Connecticut State University.
