“Greater China” generally includes the mainland of the People's Republic of China (PRC), former European colonies Hong Kong and Macau, and Taiwan (the Republic of China, ROC). It occasionally encompasses Singapore, as well as diasporic Chinese communities in Southeast Asia and other parts of the world.
