The International Olympic Committee’s Executive Board has moved forward with a recommendation to award the 2034 Winter Games to Salt Lake City, Future Host Commission Chair Karl Stoss announced Wednesday in Lausanne, Switzerland.

As has been clear since 2023: the 2030 Winter Olympics will take place in the French Alps, while the 2034 Winter Games will return to Salt Lake City. France does not have a sophisticated project, let alone a proper financial plan - a scandal. SLC is in an excellent position.
