Metz had been annexed during the Franco-Prussian War and, for the city's inhabitants, the end of the Great War meant liberation and the return to France. In celebrating the centenary of the end of the First World War, we wanted to revive that spirit, with a tribute to the men who took part in it, like Clemenceau.
