The Chuukese are a rapidly growing ethnic group in the US and in Hawai'i. Chuukese originate from the Federated States of Micronesia, one of the three nations with Compacts of Free Association (COFA) with the US. Along with other COFA citizens, Chuukese in the US are sometimes referred to as COFA migrants.
