Palmyra Township derives its name from the town of Palmyra New York. The early settlers came by a packet boat through the Erie Canal and then by a team from Maumee Bay to Lenawee County.
Palmyra Township is a civil township of Lenawee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,031 at the 2020 census.
