Severe Thunderstorm Warning continues for Magee MS, Mendenhall MS and Polkville MS until 3:45 AM CDT

Thunderstorm chances will increase for northwest portions of the forecast late this afternoon, and continue into early Thursday morning. A few storms may be severe and capable of producing damaging wind gusts and hail, especially late this afternoon and evening.

Mostly cloudy skies expected with isolated severe thunderstorms across the Delta as clouds start to build from the west. Showers expected elsewhere. Lows will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and intense lightning will weaken as they move into western Mississippi. Even so, some areas may see enough rain in a short period of time for some flash flooding in poor drainage areas.
