The borough is now primarily residential; Columbia's manufactures include clothing and malleable castings. The Watch and Clock Museum has more than 12,000 horological items including many American-made timepieces.

Created with Sketch. Columbia, Pennsylvania, (population 10,046) traces its roots to 1726, when Quaker John Wright built a log house on the Susquehanna River. Wright established a ferry at this natural crossing in 1730. Originally known as Wright's Ferry, the town was formally laid out in 1788.

Affordable living and friendly environment. Columbia is a decently small town but can feel homey. It is somewhere you can settle down when you're older and do not have much to worry about. Although it is a fine place for children, they will not receive the best education in Columbia, not the best experience.
